iCare EIDON - Ultra Widefield Module

The iCare EIDON Ultra-Widefield Module expands the EIDON Family’s field of view, making it possible to gain a wider perspective of the retina and pick up signs of pathology in the periphery that a standard field of view would miss. Applying the same TrueColor Confocal Technology that gives the EIDON Family its unsurpassed image quality, the module captures sharp, high-contrast, high-detail images all the way out to 200°.

Early signs of many retinal and systemic conditions appear first at the periphery, where standard fundus photography doesn’t reach. The Ultra-Widefield Module addresses this directly: a single exposure captures 120° of retina in under a minute, and where an even broader view is needed, the automated Mosaic functionality builds a seamless panoramic image covering up to 200° — without compromising the sharpness and colour fidelity the EIDON Family is known for.

The module is available across the entire iCare EIDON range, so practices can capture Ultra-Widefield images in TrueColor, Infrared, Autofluorescence and FA, depending on the base unit. Like the rest of the EIDON Family, it’s fully automated, letting the operator focus on the patient rather than the device throughout the exam.
