iCare IC1000 - Next generation handheld tonometry

The iCare IC1000 is the next generation of handheld tonometry, built on more than 20 years of trusted iCare rebound technology. It combines clinical precision with intuitive, guided operation to deliver reliable intraocular pressure (IOP) results, quickly and consistently, across a wide range of patients and clinical settings.

At the heart of the IC1000 is GuideCam™, a camera-based alignment system that analyses distance and inclination in real time, giving the operator clear on-screen positioning guidance. Paired with AUTO Mode, measurement begins automatically once the device is correctly aligned, reducing manual steps and minimising variability between operators. For patients who are harder to measure, Quick Measure mode delivers results using fewer rebound readings, helping to maintain throughput without compromising confidence in the result.

As with all iCare rebound tonometers, no anaesthetic drops, air puffs, or calibration are required, and the gentle, momentary touch of the single-use probe is barely noticeable to the patient. This makes the IC1000 well suited to anxious patients and those who can only be measured in a supine position.

The device is supplied with a choice of two docking options: the IC1000 SmartCradle, which charges the device and enables LAN, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity through to the iCare ALTIUS® cloud-based data management platform, or the simpler IC1000 ChargingCradle. A rechargeable battery system removes the need for periodic battery replacement, supporting efficient day-to-day use in busy clinical environments.
