iCare MAIA 3 - TrueColor Automated Microperimeter
The iCare MAIA is a next-generation automated microperimeter with integrated fundus imaging, designed to deliver precise and reliable functional assessment of the retina. Powered by a Scanning LED Ophthalmoscope with active retinal tracking, it ensures accurate real-time compensation for eye movements, enhancing test consistency and reliability.
MAIA combines retinal sensitivity testing with advanced fixation analysis, while also offering high-quality TrueColor and IR confocal imaging. Its testing options include both supra-threshold and full-threshold strategies, with seamless follow-up capabilities that automatically align new results with baseline exams to track functional changes over time.
With the addition of auto-alignment, an expanded 60° field of view, and a larger, more intuitive display, the 3rd generation MAIA makes examinations faster, more comfortable, and more efficient, offering clinicians a powerful tool for both diagnosis and ongoing monitoring.

The iCare MAIA is designed with both patient comfort and operator efficiency in mind. Its smooth workflow is supported by features such as auto-alignment, an intuitive interface, an onboard grid editor, and a large touch-screen monitor that can be positioned flexibly around the device. Examinations are easy to perform without dilating drops, while automatic correction for refractive errors from -12D to +15D ensures accurate results. The system also includes automatic OD/OS recognition and alerts the operator if the patient is not following the test correctly. With confocal infrared and TrueColor imaging offering a wide 60° field of view, the MAIA provides a streamlined and reliable experience for both clinician and patient.
