OCULUS - Pentacam® Cornea OCT
The OCULUS Pentacam® Cornea OCT is an advanced, multimodal corneal imaging system that combines ultra-high-resolution Spectral Domain OCT (~1.9µm) with 360° Scheimpflug tomography in a single, fast, contact-free scan.
This innovative system captures both microstructural and tomographic data simultaneously, enabling detailed visualization of all corneal layers — from the tear film and epithelium through Bowman’s and stromal layers — and allowing precise epithelial thickness mapping.
Fully compatible with existing Pentacam® patient data, it integrates seamlessly into clinical workflows for early detection of corneal abnormalities, keratoconus screening, refractive and cataract surgery planning, intraocular lens calculations, and post-operative follow-up.
The system’s wide-angle, high-resolution imaging, aligned dual modalities, and advanced software analysis provide clinicians with reproducible, comprehensive, and reliable diagnostics, supporting confident decision-making and optimized patient care.
- Dual high-resolution imaging in one system: Combines ultra-high-resolution Spectral Domain OCT (19µm) with Scheimpflug tomography to show both microstructural and tomographic corneal data
- Simultaneous acquisition for precise, aligned data: OCT and Scheimpflug images are captured together at identical locations, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and reproducibility for corneal assessments
- Enhanced diagnostics across clinical applications: Enables early detection of subtle changes, supports refractive and cataract planning, keratoconus monitoring, and post-operative care, and integrates with existing Pentacam® patient records
The OCULUS Pentacam® Cornea OCT is an advanced diagnostic imaging system that combines high-resolution corneal OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) with proven Scheimpflug anterior segment tomography in a single, rapid, contact-free scan. It captures ultra-high-resolution OCT images (~1.9 µm) across the entire cornea simultaneously with 360° Scheimpflug data, allowing clinicians to visualise microstructural details from the tear film and epithelium down through Bowman’s and stromal layers with unprecedented clarity.
This multimodal approach brings together two powerful imaging technologies so that structural and tomographic information are acquired at exactly the same corneal locations, enabling highly accurate, reproducible assessments that support early detection of subtle changes, better pre-operative planning, and enhanced monitoring of corneal disorders. Its data is fully compatible with existing Pentacam® records, making it easy to integrate into established workflows and patient histories.
Clinically, the Pentacam® Cornea OCT enhances diagnostics for ectasia screening, refractive surgery planning, cataract assessment, IOL calculation, keratoconus monitoring, ocular surface disease evaluation, and post-operative care, giving surgeons and specialists a deeper view into corneal health and pathology.
