The Oculus Universal Trial Frame UB3+ (often referred to as UB 3/UB 3+) is a classic professional trial frame engineered for subjective refraction in optometric and ophthalmic practice. Exceptionally lightweight (approx. 52 g) yet robust in design, it combines practicality and comfort for both clinician and patient.
Designed for five pairs of Ø 38 mm trial lenses, the UB 3 frame supports independent right/left pupillary distance (PD) adjustment (approx. 48–80 mm) and features adjustable bridge height and offset for correct alignment with the visual axis. The vertex distance (CVD) scale, adjustable temple length and tilt, and low‑set hinges that allow side insertion of lenses help streamline refraction exams and increase workflow efficiency.
