The Keeler Applanation Tonometer (KAT) is a screening device used to measure IOP which is one of the key biomarkers considered in diagnosing glaucoma.

The operation principal is based on the Goldman Applanation method.

The KAT comes in two mechanical variants, the R-Type and the T-Type.

Description

The Keeler Applanation (KAT) is an accessory item for most ‘Tower illumination’ type of Slit Lamps and thanks to its versatility, the KAT Tonometer can be mounted on and used with Slit Lamps produced by many manufacturers.

The KAT is a non-active medical device and is completely, therefore does not require battery power.
