The Tomey OA‑2000 Optical Biometer is an advanced, fully automated optical diagnostic platform designed to streamline pre‑operative assessment and IOL calculation in modern ophthalmic practice. Using high‑speed Fourier‑domain biometry, it captures a complete biometric dataset — including axial length, anterior chamber depth, lens thickness, corneal curvature, white‑to‑white distance, pupil diameter and pachymetry — in a single measurement.

Integrated Placido‑disc corneal topography provides detailed shape maps for keratometry and astigmatism evaluation, while the built‑in database and one‑shot IOL power calculation (including rail‑tracing and multiple formulas) support precise planning for standard, toric and post‑refractive cataract cases. Automatic alignment and tracking, intuitive touchscreen operation, and rapid measurement capability help maximise clinical throughput while delivering reproducible data.

For challenging imaging situations such as dense cataracts, the OA‑2000 can also interface wirelessly with an optional ultrasound biometry unit to ensure complete data acquisition.
